Hey can i ask what size kite should i buy i only weigh around 40 kg

But it depents on your weight , i started when i was 13 with a 6m2 kite, i kite now with a 9m2 kite its more then enough!
I just started kiting and bought 16m2 kite. Isn’t it too much?

Take lessons, if you want to start doing this sport, it is best to just take lessons. To figure it out yourself takes a lot of time, and then you have to buy your own gear, nah not such a good idea, what if you don’t like it and just spent over €1000,- or you could break it due to being inexperienced

i’d say about a week or 3-4, when you get to know the real tricks
i like 1:16
if you lose your board you can body-tack, using your body like a sailboard fin, to get to where your board is. the only real problem is if the wind goes away entirely, then you have to wait for the wind, or swim in your kite. they teach this stuff in kiteboarding classes.
